FRONT SEATS
PLEASE NOTE:
For front buckets with STANDARD INTEGRATED SIDE AIRBAGS only.
The seat covers are custom made to suit the vehicles with side airbags for the driver and front passenger seats and they are labelled with an Airbag tag. Ensure that the AIRBAG opening in the seat cover is on the outside of the seat, facing the door. Passenger seat covers also must be fitted the same way. The Airbag opening in the seat cover is on the driver and passenger side facing the door. Ilana Accessories Pty. Ltd. will also provide a DEPLOY SAFE
®
registration booklet that will record your purchase of the standard integrated side compatible seat covers.
Remove the headrest. Fit the headrest cover to the shape of the headrest, fasten the strips together.
Place the seat cover over the back of the seat and pull down firmly, straightening the cover for a tight snug fit. Push the centre strips through between the seat cushions at the base of the seat back, so they can be tied on the other side.
Put the base cover over the base of the seat. Straighten to ensure a neat, snug fit.
Run the strips on the outside of the seat cover base behind the side cover of the seat and bring it under the seat just above the seat rail. The seat cover is held by the strips. Bring the inside strip under the seat, join the strips by looping them over each other, tightening for a snug fit. (Eg. 1 to 1)
Run the strips from the front of the seat cover back under the seat tightening them to the centre strips. This will pull the seat back down shaping the cover to the seat.
When you are fitting front seat with STANDARD INTEGRATED SIDE AIRBAGS, ensure that it is fitted correctly to eliminate incorrect inflatement.
After fitting the seat covers, fill in the Purchase Registration form and mail it back to ILANA Accessories.
SAFETY INFORMATION
Correct initial fitting and securing of this seat cover on the vehicle is essential to guarantee the safety of the user. Incorrect fitting can prevent the seat airbag from inflating correctly in the event of a collision. When fitting the seat cover proceed as follows: a) Seat covers have universal side opening seams on left and right hand side of the seat cover to permit fitting. b) Ensure that the Airbag opening in the seat covers is on the outside of the seat facing the door. Passenger seat covers must also be fitted the same way. c) Driver and passenger seats must be mounted in the correct positions. These can be determined by the “Airbag” markings on the seat cover. d) Seat covers that have slipped must be repositioned. If this is no longer possible because of advanced wear the cover must be removed and replaced. e) Do not tamper with the opening side seam of the seat cover. f) Regularly inspect seat covers for wear, damage and seat cover misalignment. g) Adjust alignment if seat cover twists or moves from its original central aligned position. h) If the side seam splits for any reason it CAN NOT be repaired. Any attempt to re sew the seam may interfere with the Standard Integrated Side Airbag Deployment. i) Discard seat cover after side airbag activation. j) Airbag deployment must never be compromised by the incorrect fitting of car set covers.
SUITABLE FOR SEATS THAT HAVE STANDARD INTEGRATED SIDE AIRBAGS
AIRBAG WARNING:
These seat covers must only be used for cars that have Standard Integrated Side Airbags. If you are unsure check with the vehicle manufacturer. The Airbag deploys from the centre of the side of the seat closest to the car door. (Please note the “Airbag Deployment Zone” in the illustration). The seam is and must remain located in the area from forward edge (A) to the outside rear edge (B) of the seat back. If a seat cover is moved from its intended placement for any reason, it must be placed back in its correct position before use. See the illustration and fitting instructions. Under no circumstances should the sides of the seat covers been tampered with. Incorrect fitting can prevent the seat Airbag from inflating correctly.
